Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich could leave the Bundesliga outfit this summer because his relationship with the German giant is 'destroyed'. Liverpool is one of the clubs being linked with an unlikely transfer swoop.

According to Sky Germany, it is more likely than not that Kimmich will depart this summer. Now 29, Kimmich is supposedly being eyed by Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona, though his wage demands are significant. He is also said to have ruled out a move to Manchester United.

But the player's relationship with some people behind the scenes at Bayern Munich is said to be strained. And Kimmich himself has admitted that things are not perfect after a previous disagreement.

Speaking in a new documentary, in quotes carried by BILD, Kimmich says his relationship with Bayern bosses has been "destroyed". "I felt left alone for too long," he said, referring to the time that he was reluctant to get a Covid vaccine.

"That was the first downturn. That's when I noticed how the club reacted and I was disappointed and hurt. The feeling of trust that I had previously had in the club has of course been destroyed. I never know what will come out when I speak to one person or another. It's not like trust can be rebuilt in one or two conversations."

Liverpool.com says: Kimmich is a good player but his wages are huge and he isn't the kind of holding midfielder that Liverpool needs to bring in to take its midfield to the next level. The chances of the Reds making a move for the 29-year-old this summer are slim. It feels much more like a Manchester United transfer, even if the Old Trafford side isn't said to hold an appeal for the German.
