Lululemon launches new trail running shoe
Lululemon is expanding its much-loved trainers collection and the activewear brand's latest design is perfect for runners who often tackle off-road terrain.
Following the launch of the first Lululemon trainer - the Blissful Running Shoe - in 2022, the retailer has released a new shoe dedicated to trail running. This one is called Blissfeel Trail and is priced at £148.
As trail runners will know, swapping pavements for rocky single track paths requires a shoe that helps to protect your feet against the challenging ground below.
With this in mind, the Blissfeel Trail trainers have been made with a rugged grip and secure fit with a protective overlay for durability. They have also been designed with a high-traction outsole to help with stability, plus directional traction and a lugged outsole to improve grip.
Having tested the Blissfeel Trail during a 10K (6 miles) power hike on an off-road terrain, we can attest that the shoes provides a good level of stability and protection. We also liked that the Trail Running shoes felt slightly bigger than the Blissfeel 2, with some room for your toes.
It's the fourth shoe in Lululemon's trainer collection, which also includes the Strongfeel designed for weight training and the Chargefeel, a cross-trainer shoe. There's also Blissfeel 2 - an update on the original running trainer - which has a thick, cushioned sole to support every stride.
The launch of the Blissfeel Women's Trail shoes comes as Lululemon launches a new initiative – Further – that will put the spotlight on female athletes.
The initiative will culminate in a six-day ultramarathon involving 10 women from the brand’s ambassador collective, that begins on International Women’s Day, March 8, 2024.
