Manchester City welcome Chelsea to the Etihad with both sides urgently looking to close ground on Liverpool in the Premier League title race.

Pep Guardiola’s side have endured an indifferent start to their defence, suffering defeats to Norwich, Wolves and Liverpool, leaving them 8 points adrift.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have surged into life under Frank Lampard, despite an initially rocky start, and sit in third.

The Blues have won their last six league games and expect in-form Christian Pulisic to have recovered from a hip injury in time for the fixture.

Man City: Guardiola’s defence are severely hampered by injury with Aymeric Laporte and Oleksandr Zinchenko still missing due to injury.

However, there’s hope Ederson will recover in time from a thigh strain.

Chelsea: Christian Pulisic was forced to pull out of international duty with the US due to a hip injury, however, Chelsea are hopeful the winger will still be available.
