Man City XI vs Young Boys: Haaland in - starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest today

Erling Haaland starts for Manchester City in tonight's Champions League meeting with Young Boys BSC.

The striker was forced off at half-time of the 6-1 win over Bournemouth at the weekend and Pep Guardiola revealed after the game that Haaland had suffered a "twist in the ankle".

He added: "We didn't want to take risks with him. He didn't feel comfortable. He'll be back maybe Tuesday, but maybe next Sunday."

Guardiola was back in front of reporters on Monday and provided an update on Haaland.

He said: "We will train this afternoon so I don't know. I spoke with the doctor and him. Yesterday he said he felt much better but I don't know."

Haaland was later spotted training on Monday afternoon in an open session watched by media and is deemed fit enough to start tonight ahead of the top-flight clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

There are six changes in total from Guardiola in Europe, with Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol, Rico Lewis, Matheus Nunes, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish all coming in.

Nathan Ake, Kyle Walker, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Jeremy Doku and Julian Alvarez drop to the bench as a result. Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Gomez are out injured.
