Manchester United have confirmed their squad list for the group stages of the Champions League, with Sergio Romero, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo all omitted as the club's summer signings each make the cut.

Following their third-place Premier League finish last term, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are returning to Europe's elite club competition this season following a one-year absence and last week were drawn into a tricky Group H alongside Paris Saint-Germain, RB Leipzig and Turkish champions Istanbul Basaksehir.

United kick-off their campaign against French giants PSG at the Parc des Princes on October 20, with the Red Devils submitting their squad for the initial phase of the competition to Uefa on Thursday morning.

Included on Solskjaer's 25-man 'A list' were deadline day signings Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri as well as fellow new recruit Donny van de Beek, who has made five appearances across all competitions since arriving from Ajax in September.

However, there is no place for back-up goalkeeper Romero, whom the latest reports say is looking to move to Major League Soccer (MLS) in the US after failing to secure an exit from Old Trafford on deadline day.

Dean Henderson and Lee Grant have been included as United's goalkeepers alongside David De Gea.

Jones is also omitted having not played for the club since January, while fellow defender Rojo hasn't featured since returning from a loan spell at boyhood club Estudiantes at the end of last season.
