Man United XI vs Wolves: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Premier League today

Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez is not in the squad for today’s trip to Wolves, while Alejandro Garnacho replaces Marcus Rashford in attack.

Although Raphael Varane was able to return to the starting XI for the win over Nottingham Forest, the Red Devils were without both Martinez and Victor Lindelof and that remains the case today.

Harry Maguire was able to return from illness off the bench with the same issue keeping Lindelof out of the squad. Martinez is back in training following the World Cup final but is not risked today, with manager Erik ten Hag deciding the player is not ready but should be to face Bournemouth on January 3.

Scott McTominay also sat out the Forest win due to illness while Axel Tuanzebe is injured and Jadon Sancho continues to be excluded due to a fitness problem. Diogo Dalot again misses out due to a hamstring injury.

Casemiro and Varane were outstanding against Forest and both start again today as Luke Shaw lines up at centre-back once again, with Tyrell Malacia at left-back.
