Euro 2024 gets underway in Germany, and there will be plenty of interest in the tournament for Liverpool fans.

Germany takes on Scotland in the opening game in Munich on Friday, with some Reds representation straight off the bat. Andy Robertson will lead the Scots out for the curtain-raiser – assuming he has recovered from an injury scare in training.

The left-back is far from the only Liverpool star in action at the tournament this summer though. The Reds have 10 players involved, with only Manchester City, Inter Milan, PSG, Real Madrid, RB Leipzig and Barcelona boasting more.

Joining Robertson in Group A will be his Liverpool teammate Dominik Szoboszlai. Like the left-back, he will also be captaining his country at the tournament, with Hungary aiming to ruffle a few feathers after going unbeaten in qualifying.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez are the remaining England representatives after Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah were left out of the final 26-man squad by Gareth Southgate. The Three Lions kick off their tournament against Serbia on Sunday, and will be expected to qualify from Group C after further games against Denmark and Slovenia.

Elsewhere, the Netherlands has three Liverpool stars among its ranks. Virgil van Dijk will captain Ronald Koeman’s side, with Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo joining him in the squad.

They’ll come up against another of their teammates as France join them in Group D. Ibrahima Konate has been favored by Didier Deschamps in recent times, and could get the nod over Arsenal’s William Saliba during the competition.

The final pair of Liverpool stars can be found in Group F. Diogo Jota will be eyeing up glory in Germany with Portugal among the favorites to go all the way, although he may have to displace a certain Cristiano Ronaldo for a spot in Roberto Martinez’s side.

He will meet a Liverpool player a lot of Reds fans won’t have seen in action before. Vitezslav Jaros is yet to make a senior appearance for Liverpool, although the goalkeeper has earned a spot in the Czech Republic’s squad after making 21 appearances on loan at Sturm Graz and helping the Austrian side to a league and cup double.

Liverpool.com says: There will be plenty to keep Liverpool fans entertained over the next month or so, and no doubt Arne Slot will be watching on with interest as well. The Euros will give some players a chance to catch the new Liverpool head coach’s eye before returning for pre-season.
