Hull City winger Lazar Markovic will play no further part in their Premier League survival fight but defender Omar Elabdellaoui is set to return for the trip to Crystal Palace on Sunday, manager Marco Silva said on Thursday.

Markovic, who scored twice in last six games, picked up an ankle injury during Saturday's 2-0 home defeat by Sunderland which dragged Hull back into the drop zone.

"It's not good news about Markovic's injury," Silva told a news conference. "He has been an important player and did good things for our team since he came.

"Omar has been back in training and is available for selection for Sunday's game."

Hull face a must-win clash at Selhurst Park to take the relegation battle with 17th-placed Swansea City to the final day of the season.

Sam Allardyce's Palace, 16th in the league, need a point to guarantee their top-flight status.

"It's been a difficult week, but we are ready to go Palace and try to win the game," Silva added.

"It's normal, it's a fight between three clubs but when we were out of the bottom three I said its until the end and it will go until the end.

"It's like a final for us but for our opponent as well. Three or four weeks ago, nobody put Palace in this fight but now they need to fight, they are not safe."

Hull have not won on the road since August while Palace have lost their last three league games without scoring.
