ADAM Holroyd has avoided further punishment following his sin-binning against Hull FC.

The Warrington Wolves second-rower was shown a yellow card by match referee Ben Thaler for a high tackle on Black and Whites full-back Logan Moy during the first half of The Wire’s 24-18 victory at the MKM Stadium.

That, of course, raised fears that the youngster may be subjected to a ban, but the Match Review Panel have deemed the incident unworthy of further examination.

As such, Holroyd is free to play when The Wire return to action against Huddersfield Giants a week on Friday but due to a loophole in the disciplinary rules, he would have been able to count this weekend’s reserves fixture as part of any suspension.

That is the case for the players from English clubs who have received a ban following the Round 15 matches, including St Helens’ Sione Mata’utia and Huddersfield’s Elliot Wallis.
