Celtic contacted Brondby about Mathias Kvistgaarden as recently as January as their long-term strike target popped back up on their recruitment shortlist.

Football Scotland revealed to you how Celtic did speak with the Danish side fairly late on in the winter window once again about the potential of bringing the player to Glasgow. They were told a fee and that his side did not want to lose him in January so no deal was struck, with no official offer put forward at the time.

That could all be about to change, however, with manager Jesper Sørensen admitting with a smirk that he could be set to lose the attacker, 22, in the summer.

Asked if Kvistgaarden may have played his final game for the club amid an injury problem, Sørensen reportedly "smiled" and said: "That's a good question. I'd rather not speculate on it. I hope not, but we'll have to see.

"I don't really have any idea what time will bring."

Adam Idah joined the Hoops back in January on loan from Norwich and a permanent deal for the Irishman could still be on the cards.

However, as Football Scotland also exclusively revealed, there are a number of permutations.
