Max George has recalled the horror he experienced when he accidentally stabbed Dame Kelly Holmes while filming 2015 reality show Bear Grylls: Mission Survive.

The Wanted star appeared on the survival show alongside the Olympic athlete and six other celebrities including Jamelia, Mike Tindall, Vogue Williams, and Emilia Fox, and was the first one to be eliminated.

Max has revealed that he was sent packing after he stabbed Kelly with a knife while they tried to start a fire, with blood going "everywhere".

"I messed up. Technically, I stabbed her with a knife," he said on the Dangerous Dinners podcast. "She was trying to make a fire and I said, 'Give it here.' I slashed the knife on the metal and I missed it and it slashed her. There was blood everywhere. I stabbed a dame!"

As well as being devastated about the incident, which wasn't broadcast, the 32-year-old pop star was also sad that his experience with Bear in Costa Rica was cut short.

"Bear sent me home. And I was a massive fan, I had all his videos," he shared. "I was gutted I messed that up. I was gutted I hurt Dame Kelly, first of all. But then my experience was cut short. I was in Costa Rica and that kind of thing is my dream."

Kelly told The Sun on Sunday that all is forgiven and she was more gutted that Max was eliminated as a result of the accident.

"It was a complete accident and I was sad when he went as he was so cute and lit up the camp with his smile," she said.

Kelly and Mike came runners-up during the series while Vogue was crowned the winner.
