MCA girls pick up 63-52 win over James Monroe

Feb. 2—PRINCETON — Bailee Martin fired up 19 points and the Mercer Christian Academy girls picked up a 63-52 victory over James Monroe at home on Thursday night.

Kayley Trump scored 15 points for the Lady Cavaliers (12-4) and Ella Botts added 11 points. Karis Trump scored 10 points and Abby Greer contributed eight points.

Maggie Boroski scored 20 points for the Lady Mavericks. Ava Dunap chimed in with 10 points and Abby Greer added eight.

Late Girls Games

Westside 62, River View 37

CLEAR FORK — Rylee Brown fired up 19 points and the Lady Renegades had it made in a 62-47 win over visiting River View on Wednesday night.

Kaitlyn Lester chimed in with 14 points for Westside (11-6) while Karsyn Painter scored 10 points, and Kenzie Morgan had nine.

Chasity Kennedy scored 15 points to pace the Lady Raiders (12-5). Abigail Pruett scored nine and Kaci Hatfield added seven.

River View plays Meadow Bridge in Bradshaw tonight.

Woodrow 76, Mount View 26

WELCH — Somalia Nelson scored 12 points and the Lady Flying Eagles picked up a lpsided victory at Ergie Smith Gymnasium on Wednesday.

Rachael Pritt scored 10 points for Woodrow Wilson (9-7) as did Donya Burton and Karsyn Gunter. Josie Cross scored nine points and Leoni Manns added seven.

Ashanti Bonds scored 13 points for the Lady Golden Knights, who host Montcalm tonight.

Late Middle School Girls

Peterstown 42, Princeton 41

PRINCETON — Peterstown Middle School rained on the Lady Tigers' parade on Wednesday night, pulling a road upset to end Princeton's unbeaten streak.

Kylee Jackson scored 13 points to lead the Lady Tigers (12-1) while Addison McCabe added nine points. Brystal Winfrey scored eight while Maddy Anderson had eight rebounds to go with her four points.
