Mar. 26—The Buffs set out on a mission, and came home with some new hardware.

McAlester golf traveled to Henryetta for tournament play, earning second place as a team — with two individuals placing in the top five.

The Buffs shot a collective 324 on the day, just four strokes off the lead to earn second place. Stigler took home first place, with Classen SAS coming in at third, and Eufaula in fourth place.

Additionally, two Buffs golfers placed amongst the top of the competition individually — with Seth Gilliam's score of 74 earning him a second-place finish, and Zane Owens' score of 80 placing him in fifth.

McAlester finished the day strong with all of its golfers, with Shawn Perkins scoring an 84, Jackson Miller with an 86, and Kaiden Duke and Caleb Mcphetridge each with an 88.

Next up for the Buffaloes, they'll play host to the conference tournament Friday at the McAlester Country Club.
