Mikey Johnston Celtic transfer value revealed as West Brom told to stump up for target

West Brom are reportedly looking to sign Mikey Johnston on a permanent transfer this summer - but will be warned by Celtic to stump up.

The Baggies had the wide man on loan last season where he shone in the EFL Championship with a seriously impressive seven goals and one assist in just 18 appearances. That has triggered further interest from West Brom to keep him full-time but reports down south have claimed the Hoops want a pretty penny for their player.

Johnston remains contracted at Parkhead until 2026 which gives the champions a strong hand as they look to cash-in on their winger. And the same reports down south claim Johnston is valued at around £6million after his glowing performances last term.

It's thought West Brom boss Carlos Corberán will explore a permanent move for MJ while also attempting to see the potential interest in yet another loan from both player and parent club.

The Hawthorns outfit are set to ship out their own fringe players in a bid to freshen up as well as free funds to make deals like this one happen.

Prior to his loan spell at the club, Johnston had made 92 appearances in all competitions for Celts, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists.
