A roundup of Gameweek 26’s fantasy football games, including the talking point if each game and the star man.
Saturday
Burnley 1-1 Man City
The Blues’ dropped their sixth point out of eight away from home after a failure to finish their chances allowed Berg Gudmundsson to earn the home side a point.
Out-of-favour full back Danilo (£14 on Yahoo) scored a rocket, while his teammates had a nightmare in front of goal, so keep tabs on him to see if this match was his City salvation.
Yahoo star man: Danilo (20.20pts)
Bournemouth 2-1 Stoke
Eddie Howe’s side are now unbeaten in seven, coming from a goal down to inflict Paul Lambert’s first defeat as Stoke manager.
After a disappointing season so far, 21-year-old Lys Mousset won the game with his first Premier League goal, but will his manager show faith in him to make it the first of many?
Yahoo star man: Xherdan Shaqiri (14.30pts)
Brighton 3-1 West Ham
Brighton hoisted themselves further from the relegation zone following second half strikes from Jose Izquierdo and Pascal Gross, putting them behind their opponents on goals difference.
Hanging on to 12th with only one win one in five league games, David Moyes’ new manager syndrome is dead, so picking any West Ham players does not seem wise at the moment.
Yahoo star man: Pascal Grob (19.85pts)
Leicester 1-1 Swansea
Swansea’s strong run continued after they earned a draw at the King Power stadium thanks to a Federico Fernandez leveller.
Leicester missed wantaway-legend Riyad Mahrez as they struggled to find the net after scoring first, but his absence could see Kelechi Iheanacho earn points at a price of £10.
Yahoo star man: Federico Fernandez (12.35pts)
Man United 2-0 Huddersfield
Alexis Sanchez’s first goal in a United shirt sealed the victory against struggling Huddersfield who sit in 19th without a win in eight.
Expect the ex-Arsenal man to continue his form away at Newcastle next weekend, where he may turn out to be worth Yahoo’s £26 valuation once again.
Yahoo star man: Alexis Sanchez (16.85pts)
West Brom 3-2 Southampton
A massive game for both clubs saw the Saints earn their first win in 12 to climb out of the relegation zone and up to 14th, while Alan Pardew’s side were left rock bottom.
West Brom play Chelsea next and despite the London side’s poor form, it would not be sensible to select any of the Baggies’ men in the next Gameweek.
Yahoo star man: James Ward-Prowse (18.50pts)
Arsenal 5-1 Everton
The Gunners were firing from all cylinders thanks to a hat-trick from on-fire Aaron Ramsey alongside new boys Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The new Arsenal forwards played together at Borussia Dortmund, so Aubameyang’s goal and Mkhitaryan’s hat-trick of assists could be the start of a point-grabbing partnership.
Yahoo star man: Aaron Ramsey (32.10pts)
Sunday
Crystal Palace 1-1 Newcastle
Luka Milivojevic’s second-half penalty earned Palace a point against fellow relegation-battlers Newcastle in a game either could have claimed three points.
Palace’s next four fixtures are against Everton, Tottenham, United and Chelsea, so selecting one of their defenders in the next few competitions certainly would not be a clever pick.
Yahoo star man: Luka Milivojevic (14.80pts)
Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham
Late drama at Anfield saw Jurgen Klopp’s team gain the lead in injury time and then lose it as Harry Kane netted his 100th Premier League goal.
Mohamed Salah was the name on everyone’s lips again, but it still does not seem safe to pick a Liverpool defender after they lost their 12th point from winning positions.
Yahoo star man: Mohamed Salah (23.85pts)
Monday
Watford 4-1 Chelsea
The Blues went from possibly mounting a 10-man comeback to falling apart in the last 10 minutes at Vicarage Road.
It is difficult to know what to expect from last year’s champions, so splashing your fantasy cash on their expensive talent would be a major risk unless their form irons out.
Yahoo star man: Roberto Pereyra (17.70pts)
