Mohamed Salah shows off new look as Liverpool star sports drastic haircut

Mohamed Salah has become instantly recognisable not only for his exploits at Liverpool over the years, but also for his trademark haircut. The Egyptian though has showed off a drastic new look on Instagram.

The 31-year-old is enjoying some time off following the conclusion of the Premier League season. Liverpool closed out the campaign with a 2-0 win over Wolves last weekend in Jürgen Klopp’s final game as manager.

Salah was of course there to bid farewell and show his respect to his boss of seven years. It won’t be long now before he’s greeting new head coach Arne Slot.

The Dutchman though may have a hard time recognizing Salah when he returns for pre-season training. The forward took to Instagram on Friday to share a picture of himself while on holiday.

Fans instantly spotted something new about the Egyptian. Salah was sporting a drastic new haircut, showing off a close shave compared to the longer style Liverpool supporters have become accustomed to.

The new look drew some stunned reactions online, including from former Liverpool teammate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Others suggested that new boss Slot may already be having an influence on his new squad.

Salah will enjoy a well-earned break now before returning to Liverpool later in the summer for pre-season. Speculation continues over his future, with the forward entering the final year of his contract at Anfield.

Liverpool.com says: It’s certainly a different look from Salah! We’re not used to seeing him with such a short haircut, but with a new era beginning at Liverpool, why not try out a fresh new look?
