Asked if there is a chance those who have had two jabs could go abroad, she told the BBC’s The Andrew Marr Show: “We’ll be looking at the evidence from other countries.
“We’ve talked a lot to countries like Israel who are ahead of us in the vaccination campaign, and they are now really looking at allowing people to come into their country who’ve had two vaccines and not needing to isolate.
“And they are allowing their population to travel more.
“We will need to be alert and will need to consider how we can measure the response of these vaccines to new variants that come along.

Police called to summer solstice celebrations at Stonehenge
English Heritage pulled a live feed of the summer solstice sunrise at Stonehenge after people disregarded advice not to travel to the site.
The organisation said safety reasons were behind the lack of an available live feed of the neolithic Wiltshire monument at sunrise at 4.52am.
Video from the scene showed around a hundred people inside the stone circle and a banner reading “Standing for Stonehenge”.
The live feed returned at around 5am showing largely cloudy skies.

Police name man shot dead outside his Balham home
Police have named the victim of a fatal shooting who was blasted in the chest after being ambushed leaving his south west London home.
Matthias Poleon, 27, was attacked by two suspects wearing face masks who fired at him and then fled the scene in Balham in a silver hatchback.
His friends and neighbours tried to save him after the attack in Bedford Hill at 10.50pm on June 17.
He was taken to hospital but died just after 11.30pm.
A post-mortem examination revealed he died from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Detective Chief Inspector Katherine Goodwin is leading the investigation. She said: “Matthias was leaving his home address when he was set upon without warning by two suspects wearing facemasks who fired at him and and then fled the scene in a silver hatchback vehicle, possibly a Peugeot, or a VW Golf, in the direction of Balham town centre.
