This Morning star dies after being rushed to hospital

This Morning's former Hollywood correspondent Sam Rubin has died after being rushed to hospital. The presenter, who is also known for hosting Hollywood Uncensored, died after he was taken to hospital in Los Angeles.

It is being reported that the 64-year-old died after a heart attack, after doing a segment from his home during the morning, as reported by The Mirror. KTLA confirmed the sad news of Sam's death, writing online: "KTLA 5 is profoundly saddened to report the death of Sam Rubin. Sam was a giant in the local news industry and the entertainment world, and a fixture of Los Angeles morning television for decades."

In their touching tribute, the network added: "His laugh, charm and caring personality touched all who knew him. Sam was a loving husband and father: the roles he cherished the most. Our thoughts are with Sam’s family during this difficult time."

Sam had also been a correspondent for This Morning, often giving insights and gossip from a studio in Hollywood. He most recently visited the This Morning studios in 2018 where he sat down with then-hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford to give his hot takes on the celebrity world.

The presenter last appeared on air on Thursday, May 9, just a day before his death on Friday, May 10. He appeared on air just yesterday for KTLA, who he has worked for since 1991 and where he has earned several Emmys and a Golden Mike award over the years.
