Musa Drammeh set for Hearts transfer after forward's Sevilla release

Hearts are set to sign former Sevilla forward Musa Drammeh.

The Gambian has been released by the Spaniards after a ten-goal season for their B team in the fourth tier of Spanish football. He became a free agent and is now poised to become Steven Naismith's latest summer signing The 22-year-old can play as a centre forward or on either wing and sources have suggested to Football Scotland that the player will bring something different to what they already have with potential to improve.

Last year and into January, Drammeh was being linked to clubs in the English Championship including Sunderland, Cardiff City and Birmingham City. The Black Cats even had an offer rejected and the player stayed put to end the season with Sevilla Atletico, but has now been released. Drammeh was signed by Sevilla as a 19-year-old after a spell with Extremadura.

Hearts are set to return for pre-season training this week and next month they are due to head to Tenerife for a warm weather training camp. He has already made a number of additions to his squad - namely Blair Spittal, James Penrice, Ryan Fulton and Daniel Oyegoke.

Ross County's Yan Dhanda is expected to be announced imminently after signing a pre-contract. More signings are expected including Costa Rican right-back Gerald Taylor, while there could also be departures.
