Why you need to touch your TV 11 minutes before England's World Cup semi tonight

Madcap magician Uri Geller says England will beat Croatia tonight – but ONLY if the nation touch their TV in unison at just the right moment.

The infamous spoon-bender, 71, has revealed what he calls an “astonishing significance” of the number 11 in the Three Lions’ World Cup campaign.

Football fan Geller said on ITV’s This Morning that England’s current goal tally is 11 – and the last time they had racked up that number was in 1966.

The scorer of their 11th goal on Saturday was Dele Alli – born on the 11th of April 1996.

Crucially, tonight’s semi-final is taking place on Wednesday July 11.

It didn’t take a genius to work out that Geller, who of course claims he moved the ball with his mind as Gary McAllister missed a penalty for Scotland against England at Euro 96, needs us all to get on board with the magic number tonight.

He told Holly and Phil that the power of positive thinking can push Gareth Southgate’s side into Sunday’s final.

The Israeli illusionist stressed that everyone must pause at 6.49pm tonight and touch their TV sets in houses across the country.

Geller says a surge from the UK will be sent to Russia 11 minutes to kick-off as the side are given their final team talk in the dressing room.

Holly and Phil are on board and also sent waves to Moscow by touching the 1966 World Cup football, which the National Football Museum delivered to the studio for the show.
