They were about to take to the skies to wow the crowds above Blackpool for real but first these Red Arrows pilots tried out slightly less fancy versions of their impressive Hawk jets.

The aerobatic display team had a spin on the Pleasure Beach ride named after them before performing in Blackpool's annual Air Show at the weekend.

The free air show returned to the Lancashire town after a two-year Covid-induced absence and it drew massive crowds to watch Spitfires, wingwalkers, Eurofighter Typhoon jets and the Red Arrows.
