Neosho boys overwhelmed in loss to Nixa

Jan. 30—Nixa had a trio of players score in double figures on Tuesday night at Neosho High School and used that to topple the Wildcats boys basketball team 80-49.

Freshman Adam McKnight led the way with 19, Wyatt Vincent added 17 on five 3-pointers and Garrett Hines scored 13 on three 3-pointers.

Neosho got 12 from Colton Southern and 10 of them were scored in the opening quarter.

That first quarter was high scoring as the Eagles led 24-14 after eight minutes. The lead ballooned to 42-24 by halftime.

The Wildcats are now 5-12. Nixa improves to 13-5.
