Netflix wins 'WWE Raw' rights, will become new home for wrestling program in 2025

"WWE Raw" is coming to Netflix in 2025.

On Tuesday, Netflix and WWE/UFC parent company TKO Group Holdings announced a long-term deal giving the streaming service rights to air Raw live.

It is the first major jump into live sports for Netflix amid recent efforts to stream live events.

The deal includes exclusive streaming rights in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Latin America, "with additional countries and regions to be added over time," according to a press release.

Outside of the U.S., Netflix will also acquire the rights to air marquee WWE events like "WrestleMania," "SummerSlam" and "Royal Rumble" beginning next year.

"This deal is transformative. It marries the can’t-miss WWE product with Netflix’s extraordinary global reach and locks in significant and predictable economics for many years," said TKO President Mark Shapiro in a statement.

News of the massive streaming deal comes the same day as TKO Holdings' announcement that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has joined the company's board of directors. His position on the board has not been announced.
