Manchester City will be looking for a convincing win over Newcastle today as they bid to shake off their recent mini-blip.

The Premier League champions have won just one game from their last four fixtures and have failed to keep a clean sheet since late October.

Anything but a win this afternoon would be disastrous to their hopes of retaining the title as they give chase to league-toppers Liverpool.

Newcastle, meanwhile, sit in 14th with 15 points to their name – five above the relegation zone.

Steve Bruce’s men head into the fixture on the back of a 2-0 defeat by Aston Villa last Monday night.

Predicted line-ups

Newcastle: Dubravka, Maquillo, Clark, Fernandez, Dummett, Willems, Shelvey (c), Hayden, Almiron, Saint-Maximin, Joelinton

Manchester City: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Fernandinho, Mendy, Gundogan, Silva (c), Mahrez, De Bruyne, Sterling, Jesus
