Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna is the favourite to replace Roberto De Zerbi according to early betting odds.

The Northern Irishman leaped to the top of the odds this afternoon after Albion announced that De Zerbi would be stepping down after tomorrow’s final game against Manchester United.

Having just guided Ipswich back to the Premier League for the first time in over two decades, McKenna is ahead of other names touted for the job including Vincent Kompany – and Graham Potter.

According to Sky Bet, Kieran McKenna is the current bookies’ favourite with 7/4 odds to replace Roberto De Zerbi.

Vincent Kompany, at 3/1, is another name who the betting markets think could be in contention for the job despite having been relegated from the Premier League with Burnley.

Among other names, Graham Potter will be a possible choice which will spark debate between Brighton fans.

Roberto De Zerbi’s predecessor is considered among the runners for the job by Sky Bet having left the club to join Chelsea in 2022.

Other names thought to be long shots include former Hull manager Liam Rosenior, Brentford’s Thomas Frank and ex-Reims boss Will Still.

Albion announced that De Zerbi will leave the club after tomorrow’s Manchester United match having guided the club to their highest ever league finish and European football during his tenure.

The Italian leaves amid speculation that he could be in the running to join German giants Bayern Munich.
