NFL-Eagles agree to trade RB Murray to Titans

March 7 (Reuters) - The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to trade former rushing champion DeMarco Murray to the Tennessee Titans, the NFL reported Monday on its website. Terms of the deal have not been announced, though Murray is expected to alter his contract to accommodate the move. The running back signed a five-year, $40 million contract, with $20 million guaranteed, to leave the Dallas Cowboys for Philadelphia this past season but endured a rocky campaign. In Dallas, Murray ran for an NFL-best 1,845 yards in 2014 but struggled to fit into the system of former Eagles coach Chip Kelly and ultimately lost his starting spot. Murray, who finished with just 702 rushing yards, joins a Titans team with up-and-coming quarterback in Marcus Mariota and an offense that should better suit his skills.
