Nov 27 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights from National Hockey League games on Friday: - - - - Canadiens 3, Devils 2 (SO) Right winger Sven Andrighetto scored the deciding goal during a shootout to help the Montreal Canadiens to a 3-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils. The Canadiens, who won their fourth successive and lead the NHL with 38 points, erased a 2-0 second period deficit. Andrighetto and center Alex Galchenyuk scored for the Canadiens in regualtion. Montreal goaltender Mike Condon stopped 25 shots. Center Adam Henrique scored his 11th goal of the season while right winger Lee Stempniak added his fifth for the Devils. New Jersey goaltender Cory Schneider stopped 25 shots but was beaten twice during five rounds of the shootout. - - Jets 3, Wild 1 Rookie goaltender Connor Hellebuyck stopped 14 shots in his NHL debut as Winnipeg snapped a six-game road winless streak, beating the listless Minnesota Wild 3-1. Center Mathieu Perreault, defenseman Dustin Byfuglien and left winger Nikolaj Ehlers scored for the Jets, who had gone 0-5-1 away from Winnipeg since a Nov. 4 win in Toronto. Minnesota got a goal from center Ryan Carter and 26 saves from goalie Devan Dubnyk. - - Flyers 3, Predators 2 (OT) Despite coughing up their lead with 20 seconds left in regulation, the Philadelphia Flyers still managed to beat the Nashville Predators 3-2 in overtime. Defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere won it in the extra session on a power-play to lift the struggling Flyers to their fourth win in the last 16 games. - - Bruins 4, Rangers 3 Centers Ryan Spooner and David Krejci scored 2:03 apart late in the third period to rally the Bruins to their fifth successive win, edging the New York Rangers 4-3. Spooner put a power-play rebound past goaltender Henrik Lundqvist with 3:46 left before Krejci then picked up a loose puck and slapped a shot that deflected past Lundqvist with 1:43 remaining. - - Capitals 4, Lightning 2 Left winger Jason Chimera scored one of Washington's three power-play goals and made an assist as the Capitals defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning. Left winger Alex Ovechkin and right winger T.J. Oshie also scored power-play goals for Washington. Marcus Johansson scored the third of their four goals. The Lightning got third-period goals from center Brian Boyle and defenseman Victor Hedman. - - Blackhawks 3, Ducks 2 (OT) Center Artem Anisimov scored in overtime as the Chicago Blackhawks rallied for a 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks. Right winger Patrick Kane extended his streak of consecutive games with at least one point to 18. - - Sabres 4, Hurricanes 1 Josh Gorges, Jack Eichel, Brian Gionta and David Legwand all scored goals to lead the Buffalo Sabres to a 4-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes, which ended a six-game losing streak. Victor Rask scored for Carolina. Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward was pulled after allowing three goals on 14 shots through two periods and replaced by Eddie Lack, who made six of seven saves. - - Blue Jackets 2, Penguins 1 (OT) Right winger Cam Atkinson scored at 2:42 of overtime to give the Columbus Blue Jackets a 2-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Atkinson scored after a brilliant play by Blue Jackets center Brandon Dubinsky, who carried the puck in and around the Penguins zone and caused the Pittsburgh defense to collapse. He then passed the puck to Atkinson for the goal. Center Ryan Johansen also scored while goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky finished with 25 saves for the Blue Jackets. Penguins center Evgeni Malkin scored his side's goal, while goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury made 41 saves. - - Red Wings 4, Oilers 3 (OT) Defenseman Niklas Kronwall's goal 26 seconds into overtime gave the Detroit Red Wings a 4-3 win against the Edmonton Oilers. Right winger Gustav Nyquist, left winger Tomas Tatar and forward Dylan Larkin had a goal and an assist each for Detroit while goaltender Jimmy Howard made 21 saves. Right winger Iiro Pakarinen scored two goals and defenseman Andrej Sekera had a goal for Edmonton while goalie Cam Talbot made 28 saves. - - Panthers 4, Islanders 3 (SO) Florida center Aleksander Barkov scored the game-winner in the fifth round of the shootout as the Panthers defeated the New York Islanders. Left wingers Brandon Pirri and Jussi Jokinen scored for the Panthers in regulation, while center Ryan Strome and left winger Josh Bailey scored for the Islanders. - - Stars 3, Canucks 2 (SO) Center Tyler Seguin scored the only goal in the shootout as the Dallas Stars recorded a 3-2 win against the Vancouver Canucks. Dallas goaltender Antti Niemi denied right wingers Alexandre Burrows and Radim Vrbata and left winger Chris Higgins in the shootout. He stopped 33 of 35 shots in regulation. Right winger Patrick Sharp had two assists for the Stars, who got goals from captain Jamie Benn and center Jason Spezza. Brothers Daniel and Henrik Sedin both scored for Vancouver. - - Coyotes 2, Flames 1 (OT) Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored with 39.9 seconds left in overtime while Dave Tippett secured his 500th career coaching win as the Arizona Coyotes defeated the Calgary Flames. Tippett became the 22nd coach in the NHL to record 500 wins, 229 of which have come with the Coyotes while the rest came in Dallas. The Coyotes got on the board wth a goal from Martin Hanzal just 29 seconds into the second period before Calgary tied the game with 3:30 left in the period when defenseman Mark Giordano swept in a shot from left wing Johnny Gaudreau. - - - -
