The first round of The Rallysport Association NI Summer Championship will take place next Saturday and Sunday (April 13&14) at the superb St. Angelo, Enniskillen Airport.

This is the fourth visit for the RSA at this renowned venue for alternative motorsport and they are pleased to announce that it is another two-day event due to the high volume of entry interest from both North and South of Ireland and beyond.

The unique RSA event formula has become popular with competitors and spectators due to the non-stop high-speed action from a wide and diverse range of rally cars and the fastest growing development in European motorsport, the incredibly exciting internationally manufactured motor cycled engined, Crosskarts.

This weekend will be divided over the 15 different class structures.

On Saturday the 100 plus entries are for rally cars only and will include WRC and R5 rally cars, turbo-charged Subarus and Mitsubishi EVO’S together with a host of phenomenally fast rear and front wheel drive Ford Escorts, Honda Civics and many more which will also include our junior class for 1200cc cars for 12years and over.

Saturday entries will include local drivers, Martin Collins, Darren McGuiness in his Subaru and Montgomery Motorsports' Jay Somerville.

The World Rally specification R5 rally cars will include Donegal’s Aaron McLaughlin and many other leading Irish Rally drivers gearing up for a summer season of Irish rallying.

Sunday will have over 60 competitors in the European manufactured racing Cross Karts with 600-1000cc motorbike race engines. 30 of the one-make Mini Cup cars with both adult and junior competitors (12 yrs +) together with eight ladies and incredibly fast junior drivers (12 - 17yrs) and the phenomenally fast Mazda MX5 Challenge rear wheel drive cars all fighting for early championship points.

Spectators are welcomed from 9am each day and early risers will enjoy access to the driver’s service area and will be able to experience first-hand the pre-event preparation, car scrutineering the general competitor/organization and competitors' build-up to the event which commences at 10am sharp.

With adult admission only £15/€15, junior admission £10/€10 and Seniors and U12s enjoying a free entry, what better excuse to get outside and enjoy a superb early spring weekend with family and friends.
