Former Hibs boss Nick Montgomery looks set to team up with Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham Hotspur.

Montgomery was axed by the Hibees in May just eight months after replacing Lee Johnson as head coach. It's believed the 42-year-old has attracted offers from Asia over a quick-fire return to the dugout. But Montgomery could be set for a stunning move to the Premier League to join Postecoglou's new-look backroom staff.

Despite winning just 12 of his 37 matches in charge of Easter Road, Montgomery remains highly thought of in the game after his success with Central Coast Mariners, where he guided the club to the A-League title in 2023.

Now, FTBL in Australia reports that Montgomery will take up a position at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as ex-Celtic boss Postecoglou shakes up his first-team coaching staff. There's a vacancy at the London club after assistant manager Chris Davies left to take up his first managerial role at Birmingham City.

Montgomery isn't expected to be a direct replacement for the former Celtic coach, who worked at Parkhead during Brendan Rodgers' first spell. Sergio Raimundo, who was Montgomery's trusted sidekick at both the Mariners and Hibs, is also expected to link up with Postecoglou.
