Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna is reportedly of interest to Chelsea – after they parted company with Mauricio Pochettino.

The 52-year-old Argentinian, who had only been in the job for 11 months, has left his Stamford Bridge role by mutual consent.

He guided Chelsea to a sixth-placed finish in the Premier League this season.

The club’s sporting directors Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley will now lead the search for a successor.

McKenna, Leicester’s Enzo Maresca, Stuttgart’s Sebastian Hoeness and Girona boss Michel are reportedly on the Blues’ list of possible replacements.

Albion have been linked with McKenna, who would appear to tick a number of boxes for their hot seat left vacant by Roberto De Zerbi’s departure.

Chief executive Paul Barber has declined to comment on individual coaches or types of coach.

De Zerbi and Pochettino went head to head at the Amex less than a week ago.
