Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed Diogo Jota will be imminently completing his transfer to Liverpool.

The Reds have agreed a £45million deal for the forward, who is set to sign a five-year contract with the Premier League champions.

Standard Sport understands Liverpool will pay an initial fee of at least £41million for the 23-year-old, with a further £4m in add-ons to come depending on European success.

Following the high-profile acquisition of Thiago Alcantara, Jota will swiftly become Liverpool's third signing of the transfer window, after Kostas Tsimikas' completed his move in early August.

Jota played a pivotal role as Wolves finished seventh in the Premier League last season, with Nuno insisting he'll remain a club legend forevermore.

"What Diogo did for us was absolutely fantastic," he said in his press conference ahead of Monday's Premier League fixture against Manchester City.

"I think Diogo is going to the right place and we wish him all the best.

"He'll never be forgotten by our fans. Know we have to balance our squad better. We know the type of player we want to bring and where we need to work on in our squad."

Wolves have also completed the signing of 18-year-old Liverpool defender Ki-Jana Hoever, with Nuno insisting the deals are in the interest of both clubs.

"Liverpool are going to have a great player and boy, and Ki has a bright future ahead of him," he added. "We think this deal is good for everybody.

"Diogo was really happy here, but it's normal that players like to face new challenges.

"He will join us. He's a young player with talent and potential. This is what is happening. Diogo is joining Liverpool."
