Ole Miss defensive tackle signee Tae-kion Reed was arrested Tuesday on burglary charges. Reed allegedly attempted to rob a home in Lowndes County, Mississippi according to the sheriff’s department.

According to the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, Reed was in jail Wednesday morning. A spokesperson for the school said it was gathering facts on the matter.

Reed is one of two prominent FBS signees in the class of 2017 to be arrested Tuesday. Four-star Texas signee Reese Leitao was arrested Tuesday for Xanax possession at his high school. He allegedly told his principal he was going to sell the pills.

Reed was the Ole Miss signee who chose the Rebels over Mississippi State on National Signing Day in February. In choosing Ole Miss, he chucked a Mississippi State hat across the room, much to the amusement and shock of the woman to his left.
