Here are some Olympians cuddling with puppies to make your day perfect

Today’s cuteness overload comes courtesy of Olympic athletes snuggling with puppies. Because there’s nothing better than physically superior humans getting all cuddly with adorable canines, right?

Whatever the reason NBC had for staging this photoshoot, it’s clearly working — we can’t stop staring at the likes of medalists and mini golden retrievers.

The lineup includes gymnasts Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman, shooter Kim Rhode, water polo player Maggie Steffens, cyclist Sarah Hammer, fencer Mariel Zagunis, swimmers Missy Franklin and Katie Ledecky, para swimmer Jessica Long, and basketball players Sue Bird and Maya Moore, among other athletes.

The guys posing with tiny doggies include diver David Boudia, swimmer Nathan Adrian, wheelchair rugby player Chuck Aoki, and, yes, an entire series of swimmer Ryan Lochte with three fluffy pups.
