Oneonta boys win on Senior Night; Morris stuns Forks

Feb. 5—The Oneonta boys basketball team defeated Windsor 60-48 on Senior Night Monday.

Windsor entered the second quarter with a 14-5 lead before Oneonta closed the gap to two at halftime and had a 38-25 second half to pull away with the win.

Brady Carr had a game-high 28 points to lead the Yellowjackets while Grayson Brockington added 13 points and Britton Zeh tallied 11 points in the win.

Nico Soriano had 17 points to lead Windsor.

OHS will visit Norwich to conclude its regular season Wednesday.

Morris 57, Chenango Forks 56

Morris capped a furious fourth-quarter rally with a last-second basket to stun Chenango Forks 57-56 at home in Monday's non-league contest.

Trailing by 11 with five minutes left, the Mustangs cut the lead down to one with less than ten seconds on the clock. Tiger Ross then salvaged a broken play and game up with the game-winning layup to seal the comeback victory.

Ross led Morris with 32 points in the win while Ryan Murphy added 16 of his own.

Morris (13-5) will visit Edmeston Thursday in the Tri-Valley League playoffs.

Milford 73, Hunter-Tannersville 34

Milford scored 48 points in the first half Monday to roll to a 73-34 non-league win over Hunter-Tannersville.

Christian Lawson had a tremendous all-around game with 22 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals.

Evan Clark had a double-double as well with 12 points and 10 rebounds while Carter Stevens and Tanner Greiner had 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Connor Schiefer and Grady Maul each had 10 points for H-T.

Milford will host Richfield Springs Thursday in the Tri-Valley League playoffs.

Cherry Valley-Springfield 65, Middleburgh 54

Cherry Valley-Springfield recovered from an early deficit to defeat Section II's Middleburgh 65-54 Monday.

Max Horvath scored 25 points in the win, with 18 of those coming in the second half. Kris Cade and CJ Hurley added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

CV-S will be back in action Tuesday when it visits Stockbridge Valley.

Roxbury 52, Gilbertsville-Mount Upton 43 (Saturday)

Roxbury overcame an early deficit to defeat Gilbertsville-Mount Upton 52-43 in a non-league matchup at home Saturday.

George Proctor had a double-double of 30 points and 12 rebounds while Chris Garofolo added seven points and 14 rebounds in the win.

Devon Hartwell led Roxbury with 18 points while Noah Pain and Anthony Westford added 13 and 11 points, respectively, in the loss.

G-MU will visit Schenevus Thursday for the first round of the TVL playoffs.

Susquehanna Valley 65, Bainbridge-Guilford 55 (Saturday)

The Bainbridge-Guilford boys dropped a non-league contest at home to Susquehanna Valley 65-55 Saturday.

James Hogroian led the scoring in the loss with 20 points while Michael Lipani scored 17 and Giovanni Johnson finished with nine.

The Bobcats will host Deposit-Hancock this Thursday.

Cherry Valley-Springfield 37, Northville 27 (Friday)

Cherry Valley-Springfield defeated Northville 37-27 in a low scoring non-league matchup Friday at home.

Max Horvath had 10 points and nine rebounds while CJ Hurley added eight points and 13 rebounds in the win.

Kris Cade had six steals for the Patriots in the defensive battle.

Riley Henderson led Northville with nine points in the loss.

Sidney cruised to a 64-42 victory over Bainbridge-Guilford Thursday in Midstate Athletic Conference action.

Connor van der Sommen led the Sabers with 26 points while Jalen Reardon scored 17 and Grady Loeffler added eight.

James Hogroian was the top scorer for the Bobcats with 18 points. Michael Lipani added 11 points in the loss.
