Ontl, Waid lead CV past Worcester in Lee Fisher tourney
Dec. 19—The Charlotte Valley boys basketball team used a 28-point third quarter to defeat Worcester 65-40 in the opening round of the Lee Fisher Tournament Tuesday.
Ezra Ontl was the top scorer for the Wildcats with 24 points while Trevor Waid notched a triple-double of 16 points, 14 rebounds, 10 steals and seven assists.
John Gonsalves and Ethan Barrett added nine and eight points, respectively.
Leading Worcester were Tyler Head with 12 points and Matthew Sanders with 11.
Charlotte Valley will face Afton Wednesday.
Edmeston 54, Unadilla Valley 27
The Edmeston boys defeated Unadilla Valley 54-27 in a non-league contest Tuesday.
Braymond Clark and Gavin McEnroe led the Panthers with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Gunner Schoellig and Izek Richards added nine points apiece in the win.
LEading UV in scoring was Keagan Platt with eight points.
Edmeston will host its Christmas Tournament next Thursday while UV will host Oxford Friday.

The Cooperstown/Milford wrestling team defeated Herkimer 39-27 in a home dual meet Tuesday.
Winning by decision for C/M were Max Koffer (116 pounds), Brent Chase (190) and Matthew Perrino (215). Max Sharf added a victory by decision at 285 pounds.
C/M will host a round robin tournament in Cooperstown Saturday, Dec. 30.

BOYS SWIMMING
Oneonta's boys swim team dropped a home meet to Chenango Valley Tuesday by a score of 112-71.
Elias House notched a pair of wins for OHS in the 50 and 100 freestyle swims. Bastian Dudley added a win in the 500 free while the Yellowjackets took first in the 400 free relay.
Oneonta (2-1) will be off until Thursday, Jan. 4 when it will visit Greene.
