Pep Guardiola Fuming About Man City's Planned Pre-Season Tour of China

Manchester City have announced plans for a pre-season tour of China, where City could face a Manchester United side that could well have Jose Mourinho at the helm.

Guardiola is reportedly frustrated at the news with his preference leaning towards a USA-based tour as the US has better facilities and won't be as hot and humid as the Far East.

Man City's owner Sheikh Mansour sold a 13% stake of the club to investors Chinese Media Capital. The new partners are keen on seeing Man City in China under the management of Pep Guardiola, who is scheduled to join up with his new team on July 1st.

The tour will be a key opportunity for Man City as they will attempt to tap in to the cash cow that is the Asian football market. Barcelona, Real Madrid and even Manchester United have seen a wealth of revenue come in from the Far East in the last decade and with the emergence of the Chinese Super League, now could be a better time than ever to explore the possibilities.

Guardiola is also not keen about the prospect of facing Jose Mourinho, who he had numerous run ins with during his time at Barcelona. Mourinho is all but confirmed to take over from Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford at the end of the season in a move that will aim to spring Man Utd out of their poor run of form.
