Peter Crouch has honoured a bet with a dedicated Stoke fan who turned up to his side's final Premier League game of the season wearing Speedos.

The forward handed his shirt to Stoke fanatic Tyrone Sidley, who travelled 166-miles to Southampton in the swim briefs to win the bet.

“If I go down Southampton in my speedos can I have a match worn shirt?” the fan tweeted.

The former England forward responded “Speedos and speedos only and it's yours my friend.”

His team-mate Charlie Adam also promised to give the fan his shirt if he completed the look by wearing goggles, flippers and a snorkel.

“Huge respect to @Charlie26Adam for keeping up his end of the bargain,” the fan tweeted after the game.

Crouch scored the winning goal in Stoke’s 1-0 win to become the first Premier League player to score 50 goals with his head in England’s top division.
