Phil Foden reminds England squad of bleach blond promise with Euros win

Phil Foden is hoping the England squad will stick to their promise of going all-blond should the Three Lions win a first European Championship on Sunday.

The Manchester City star has earned the nickname Gazza after going bleach blond on the eve of Euro 2020, earning comparisons to England legend Paul Gascoigne.

During the group stage, Foden revealed that the whole squad agreed to follow his lead should the Three Lions win the tournament. Now, with one game to go, the 21-year-old is hoping they keep their promise.

"I'm kind of not feeling that they're gonna do it," said Foden.

"We've still got a tough final to win and if we win I'd like to think they will stick with their word."

Foden has already been part of three Premier League title winning teams, won an FA Cup and three League Cups but says Sunday could top the lot.

He said: "Nothing beats winning for your national team so it will be my proudest moment."
