Play-off picture will become clearer for Crawley as they plan for final push

Crawley’s play-off equation will become clear tonight as they prepare for their final match of the League Two season.

Reds are clinging on to seventh spot, despite taking just two points from four games since the brilliant win at Mansfield.

They will be knocked out of the play-off frame tonight if Doncaster get any reward from their game in hand at Colchester.

The Essex side have their own motivation as they seek a point to secure safety.

Meanwhile Barrow will move out of Crawley’s reach if they beat Bradford City.

Scott Lindsey’s men are working towards their potentially decisive game at home Grimsby on Saturday, by which stage their destiny might have been taken out of their hands.

They had to come from behind to grab a 2-2 draw at Sutton, who could go down tonight.

A win on the final day could yet see them overhaul Crewe, who go to Colchester on the final day.

Speaking after the game at Sutton, Lindsey (pictured) said: “I have had to go into the dressing room and remain positive with the players obviously.

“We have one big push left and anything can happen and we don’t need to only be looking below us.

“We need to be looking above us as well.

“One game to go and we’re still in the play-offs. It’s a brilliant, brilliant season.

“But it will be disappointing if we don’t make it.”
