Paul Pogba 'tells Juventus players he wants Serie A return'

Paul Pogba has reportedly told friends he is willing to quit Manchester United and return to Juventus.

Reports in Italy claim the unsettled star has told his former team-mates he is keen to return to Turin, just two years after leaving for a world record fee.

This is despite Pogba saying last week that he has ‘no regrets’ about leaving Turin for Manchester.

The France star made his name with Juventus and he won the Serie A title in each of his four seasons with the Italian giants as well as two Coppa Italias.

And Corriere dello Sport report that Juventus could move for him as early as the new year.

Barcelona attempted to sign the midfielder in the summer but remain interested and are monitoring the situation at Old Trafford carefully.

However, Juventus are confident they would have the inside running on any deal and believe Pogba’s strained relationship with Jose Mourinho could give them a chance of prising him away from the Premier League.

Pogba has failed to replicate his World Cup form at club level with some claiming Mourinho doesn’t know how to get the best out of his star midfielder.

Mourinho stripped Pogba of the vice-captaincy earlier this year over concerns of his commitment to the club.

He is currently battling a thigh issue which he picked up against Juventus and caused him to miss United’s derby loss to Manchester City.

He also pulled out of France’s squad for matches against the Netherlands and Uruguay and he enjoyed a warm-weather break in Dubai where he was seen deep in conversation with Lionel Messi.
