Detectives have made two arrests on suspicion of attempted murder following a shooting and stabbing in Westminster.

Armed police and paramedics were scrambled after gunshots were were reported near Queen’s Park.

A man, 26, was found with a suspected gunshot wound while another, 19, lay nearby with a stab injury. The third victim, 29, was also found wounded and taken to hospital.

The attacks took place near Beethoven Street at around 7.40pm on Sunday.

None of the injuries are life threatening, police have said.

A crime scene remains in place in the area of Beethoven Street and Bruckner Street.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are in custody.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s specialists gun crime unit Trident are leading the investigation.

A police statement said: “Officers, including firearms officers, attended, along with the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London’s Air Ambulance.”
