Premier League opening weekend TV games confirmed as Sky Sports and TNT picks revealed

Six of the Premier League's opening weekend of fixtures will be televised live in the UK.

Tuesday saw the full fixture list for the 2024/25 campaign confirmed by the Premier League. The new season will get underway on the weekend of August 17-18, with teams across the league looking to start the year off with a victory.

Arsenal will host Wolves at the Emirates Stadium on the opening day, as Mikel Arteta's side look to go one better and win the league next season. However, that fixture has been scheduled for 3pm on Saturday, August 17 and will not be televised in the UK.

The season will get underway on Friday, August 16 when Manchester United host Fulham at Old Trafford. Sky Sports will broadcast the match as part of their Friday Night Football coverage, with kick-off set for 8pm.

The next day will see the return of the Saturday 12.30pm kick-off by TNT Sports, and this will see Liverpool travel to face Ipswich Town. The newly promoted club will host the Merseyside outfit at Portman Road in their first match since securing promotion to the Premier League.

Saturday evening will see West Ham host Aston Villa at the London Stadium, with kick-off at 5.30pm and the match will be broadcast on Sky Sports.

Sunday, August 18 will see two more Premier League matches televised. Sky Sports will be broadcasting Brentford vs Crystal Palace with a 2pm kick-off, before Chelsea host reigning champions Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in the 4.30pm kick-off.

There will also be a Monday Night Football by Sky Sports to conclude the opening weekend. Leicester City, fresh from winning the Championship, will host Tottenham Hotspur at the King Power Stadium.
