PREP GIRLS BASKETBALL: BHRA gets past Westville

Feb. 8—BISMARCK — The Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin girls basketball team won its final regular season game on Thursday with a 50-39 win over Westville.

Beth McMahon had 18 points to lead the Blue Devils, who had a 23-19 halftime lead, while Gentry Elson scored eight, Ava Action had seven, Mayzee Myers had six and Marleigh Schmit added five.

Aubrie Jenkins had 10 points to lead the Tigers, while Laney Gondzur had nine, Gwen Bennett had eight and Daylin Zaayer added six points.

The Blue Devils will stay home on Saturday to play Paxton-Buckley-Loda in an IHSA Class 2A regional at 4 p.m. while the Tigers will play in a 2A regional in Monticello against Warrensburg-Latham on Saturday at 1 p.m.
