BASEBALL

MUSKOGEE 10, WARNER 7 — Muskogee took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning and then added another run in the third to push its advantage to 3-0. Warner (3-6), however, scored five runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead, 5-3. The Roughers (5-11) regained control for good in the top of the fifth, 6-5 as Aiden Barnoski drove in two runs on a sacrifice fly and Kylin Blue singled home a run. Doc Estes was the winner on the mound while also collecting two hits, along with Joel Hall and Owen Gilliam. Colton Swimmer took the defeat for the Eagles while Ethan Glover led Warner going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Kaleb Spradlin and Beau Thomas added two hits for the Eagles.

EUFAULA 4, VIAN 3 — Eufaula was down 3-2 in the top of the seventh inning when Connor McAllister doubled and drove in the winning runs. JP Hicks was the winning pitcher as he gave up eight hits with six strikeouts. Draven Gragg, Jaxon Lange and Hicks all had two hits for the Ironheads (7-6).

VIAN 10, HASKELL 2 — Brady Neal gave Haskell a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning as he singled home a run.Vian soon wiped out that lead as it took a 3-1 advantage in the bottom of the first. The Wolverines added two more runs in the second to go up 5-1. Nevin Sheedy was tagged with the loss for the Haymakers (7-3) as he surrendered nine runs on 10 hits. Neal was 2-for-2 to lead Haskell at the plate.

NORTH ROCK CREEK 8, CHECOTAH 0 — Checotah faced an early 3-0 deficit after the first inning and that grew to 5-0 after the second. Mason Rainbolt took the loss for the Wildcats going 2.1 innings and giving up two earned runs on seven hits.

Charles Collins had one hit for Checotah (3-12).

WAGONER 4, NOAH 3 — The game was tied 3-3 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Eli Hopping doubled home the decisive run for Wagoner. NOAH led 2-0 in the top of the fourth, but in the home half of the inning the Bulldogs (5-9) took the lead 3-2 as Boston Wybrant singled, Keyton Cole walked and a passed ball allowed another run. Caleb Clinton earned the win in relief giving up four hits and two earned runs over three innings. Kolby Gardenhire started on the hill and lasted three innings while Kale Charboneau recorded the save.

PRYOR/CLAREMORE TOURNAMENT

AT CLAREMORE — Oktaha defeated Skiatook, 9-1 as Kale Testerman went 3-for-4. The Tigers got on the board early as Testerman hit a solo shot to left field. After Skiatook tied the game, Oktaha took back the lead for good as it scored four runs in the bottom of the third to go up 5-1. Maddox Edwards and Nic Tolbert, who earned the win, both added two hits and had three RBIs between themselves.

The Tigers (11-2) had a five-run third inning as they shutout Branson (MO), 9-0. Edwards got the win tossing a one hit game with four strikeouts. Tolbert had three RBIS while Kipton Christian led at the plate going 3-for-4.

WEBBERS FALLS TOURNAMENT — Porum shutout the Warner JV, 12-0 as Luke White earned the win and tossed a two-hitter with three strikeouts in three innings. The Panthers, who had a five-run first inning, put the finishing touches on the victory with seven runs in the bottom of the second inning. Mikey Wright went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Porum while Shaun Robinson was walked twice. As a team, the Panthers collected seven free bases. Porum followed up with a 4-2 win over Arkoma. Isaiah Sallee grounded out to put the Panthers (14-2) on the board in the bottom of the first and then a 2-run single by Caden Robinson pushed the lead to 3-0 after three innings. Arkoma cut the lead to one point with two runs in the top of the fourth inning. Robinson earned the win as he scattered four hits with eight strikeouts in four innings.

Webbers Falls scored 10 runs in the second inning as it beat Gans, 11-1. Braydan Robinson got the win for the Warriors as he tossed a one-hit game in three innings with seven strikeouts. Maddux Shelby, Gunner Carey, Ben Ward and Robinson all drove in two runs each.

Porter defeated Webbers Falls, 7-2 in the final game. Tyler Durrett put the Pirates (15-9-1) ahead 1-0 in the top of the first inning as he went deep with a solo home run. Stryker Chappell helped the Warriors (7-5) get the tie in the bottom of the first, as he walked to bring in a score. Ben Ward put Webbers Falls back on top, 2-1 in the top of the third with a single. The Pirates regained the lead in the fourth and never trailed as they went up 5-2. Ward, who took the loss for the Warriors while his counterpart, Landyn Smith earned the win for Porter.

OKAY TOURNAMENT — Braggs lost to Summit Christian, 10-6. Hazen Edwards led the Wildcats (0-3) as he went 2-for-2 and scored a run. Jaylen Melton, James Larchey, Madti Clark and Sam Hensley all added one hit and one run each. Lakota Martin was the losing pitcher.

On Thursday, Okay defeated Kinta, 15-0. Diezel Davis was 1-for-1 with two walks for the Mustangs.

SLOW PITCH

VIAN 13, FORT GIBSON 0 — Fort Gibson (4-5) was held to just two hits, one each by Olivia Benson and Kaiah Austin. Vian led 7-0 after three innings before a six-run fourth inning put the cap on things. Benson took the loss giving up 11 runs on 12 hits.

OKMULGEE FESTIVAL — Preston shutout Gore, 12-0 as Kendra Huckaby and Peyton Curran had the only hits for Gore with one each. Preston jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning before scoring six runs on four hits in the bottom of the third to close out the scoring. Gore righted the ship as it beat Liberty, 12-0 behind Huckaby's 3-for-3 showing. The Lady Pirates (6-3) scored nine runs in the first inning on the way to the win. Gore collected 11 hits as Keira Rowe, Curran and River Shoemake all drove in two runs each while Emily Daily went 2-for-3.

BASEBALL

PRYOR/CLAREMORE TOURNAMENT

AT CLAREMORE — Oktaha scored seven runs in the first inning of an 11-3 win over Tahlequah. Mason Pickering had a three-run blast as the big blow of the inning. Kipton Christian earned the win going five innings and scattered six hits with four strikeouts. Along with Kale Testerman, Christian led at the plate with two hits. Oktaha (12-2) accumulated 10 walks.

INOLA TOURNAMENT — Patrick Ireland had the lone RBI for Hilldale (14-3) in a 9-1 loss to host Inola. Cole Leach took the defeat on the hill as he went four innings and gave up six runs on three hits.

WOOD BAT TOURNAMENT AT ROLAND — James Brasuell went 4-for-5 as Gore handed host Roland a 5-3 defeat. The Pirates (7-8) got on the board in the top of the first inning as Brasuell singled home a run, but the Rangers quickly tied the game 1-1 in the home half of the first. Gore regained the lead 3-1 with a single from Waylon Gilley and a steal of home in the third. Roland tied the game once again in the sixth, but the Pirates put the final touches on the game in the ninth.

Tate Brooksher earned the win going 6.1 innings with eight strikeouts and four hits allowed while Hunter McGee was credited with the save. Keeton Rowe went 2-for-4 and Gore had 11 stolen bases.

WEBBERS FALLS TOURNAMENT — Porum won the tournament championship as it overcame Porter, 4-2. The Pirates got on the board early in the first inning as Cycle McElmurry drew a walk to score a run. Tyler Durrett made the lead 2-0 in the second inning with a solo home run. The Panthers tied the game in the bottom of the second on an error and a single by Luke White. Johnson, in the fourth inning, gave Porum the edge with an RBI single to push the advantage to 3-2. Isaiah Sallee earned the victory for the Panthers (15-2) as he gave up three hits and struckout 13 batters in six innings. Gage Scarberry recorded the save. Mikey Wright, Rylind Tillery, White, Caden Robinson, Waylon Dishman and Johnson all collected one hit for Porum.

Durrett took the loss for Porter (15-10-1).

Webbers Falls defeated Warner, 4-0 to claim third place. Stryker Chappell got the win for the Warriors as he tossed a one-hit ball game with five strikeouts in five innings. Brutus Robinson threw one inning of relief on the mound. Maddux Shelby and Ben Ward drove in one run each for Webbers Falls. Landon Lee was the losing pitcher for the Eagles allowing five hits over four innings while Ethan Glover led at the plate going 1-for-3.

OKAY TOURNAMENT UPDATE FROM FRIDAY — Okay finished as runner-up to Hulbert who won the tournament finale, 3-0. Chase Clark pitched three innings and surrendered three runs on two hits with seven strikeouts. Clark, Bryson Parnell, Duckie Swimmer and Braiden Russell all finished with one hit for the Mustangs (3-3).
