PREP TRACK: BHRA women wins at PBL kickoff

Mar. 28—PAXTON — The Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin girls track team won the team title at the Paxton-Buckley-Loda preseason kickoff on Thursday.

Most of the Blue Devil girls wins were in the relays as the 400 team of Aubrey Peters, Emily Dice, Nevaeh Scott and Amber-Christine Reed won in 52.95, the 800 team of Peters, Natalie Thomason, Scott and Reed won in 1:53.78 and the 1,600 team of Peters, Thomason, Scott and Reed won in 4:29.57.

Aleah Potter won the 3,200 (12:52) and was third in the 1,600 (6:05), Thomason won the high jump (1.52m) and Ella McFarland won the triple jump (10.49m).

Reis McFarland was second in the shot put (8.89m) and discus (26.95, while Reed was second in the long jump (4.42m), Peters was third in the 100 hurdles (18.61), and Mackenzie Stow was fourth in the 100 (15.07) and sixth in the 200 (30.75).

The boys team was third behind Ridgeview and Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley. Ayden Ingram won the 400 (53.85) and the high jump (1.72m) and was second in the 100 (12.21) and 200 (23.82).

Payton Wallace was second in the 800 (2:13.41), Devin Stroud was second in the 3,200 (12:20) and fourth in the 1,600 (5:35), Gavin High was third in the 200 (25.41) and fourth in the 100 (12.66), while Landyn Wendell was third in the shot put (12.20m), Dylan Davis was fourth in the long jump (5.26m),.

The 400 team of Mason Chowning, Eli Godwin, Davis and High took second (47.06) and the 800 team of Brendan Whitney, Marcus Schreiner, Collin Hardin and Mason Cunningham also took second (1:45.22).
