Prestwich Heys to kick off new campaign at Cheadle

PRESTWICH Heys will start the 2024/25 NW Counties Premier Division season away at Cheadle Town on Saturday, July 27 (3pm).

The League have announced the fixtures for the opening week of the campaign which sees AFC Liverpool visiting Adie Moran Park for our opening home game on Tuesday, July 30 (7.45pm).

The weekend of Saturday, August 3 will see Heys competing in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round, the draw for which will be made on Friday.

At this stage the League are unable to produce any further fixtures as they await fixtures details from the National League, Northern Premier League and Midland League as well as details of the FA competition draws which will impact on the production of the full fixture list.

Looking at Heys fixtures, Cheadle came 15th in the table last season with Heys coming out on top in both League fixtures. There have been managerial changes at both clubs in the summer with Cheadle having recruited Jake Davies who was part of the managerial team at Wythenshawe FC last season. He has undertaken an extensive recruitment programme which includes former Heys player Connor Martin.

AFC Liverpool came 14th last season and have over the years proved something of a bogey team and won 2-0 on Merseyside last time around. Heys did however win 4-1 when the sides met at Adie Moran Park last October, an outcome the new Management team of Russell Saunders & Matty Russell would welcome in their opening home game.

Heys have also put Season tickets for the 2024/25 season on sale. Matchday Admission prices for the coming season have been frozen at last year’s prices. However, buying a Season Ticket represents savings on matchday admission prices of up to 15per cent. This is the maximum discount the club can provide under FA Standard Rules on Season Tickets. Accordingly, Season Ticket Prices for the coming season are as follows: - Adults: £137, Concessions: £78 (Aged 65 and over and Students with a valid student card), Aged 16 and Under free

Season tickets cover admission to all 23 home League games in the 2023/24 season including those that will be admission by ticket only. Cup fixtures in any competition are not included in the Season ticket. Matchday Admission prices are Adults £7, Concessions £4 (Aged 65 and over and Students with a valid student card), Under 16s FREE.

Heys were set to start their Pre-Season friendly campaign at Stockport Georgians on Tuesday night before lifting the curtain at Adie Moran Park on Saturday (1pm) with the visit of Premier Division rivals Glossop North End. Whilst they will meet in the League this season, the match brings an early reunion for Russ and Matty with one of their former clubs, where they featured in the same side.

Atherton Collieries provide the opposition on Tuesday, July 9, (7.45pm). It’s the second season running that Colls have visited Adie Moran Park with Colls, who will compete in NPL Division One West next season, winning 4-0 last year.
