Kylian Mbappe starts for Paris Saint-Germain in tonight’s Champions League semi-final first-leg tie against Manchester City.

The forward was forced off against Metz at the weekend but is fit to feature from the off tonight, while captain Marquinhos also starts and Abdou Diallo is fit enough for the bench.

There were fewer pre-match question marks over Keylor Navas and Marco Veratti, who both faced Metz and also start this evening.

Thilo Kehrer and Layvin Kurzawa make way for Marquinhos and Mitchel Bakker in defence, while Ander Herrera is replaced by Idrissa Gueye in the centre of the park and Angel Di Maria also comes in for Pablo Sarabia.

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino beat City, and then Ajax, on the way to Tottenham's first ever Champions League final in 2019 and the Argentine is aware of the task at hand tonight.

"I think City are one of the greatest teams in the world with the best coach and it will be as tough as against Bayern at least," Pochettino said.

"Tougher? We'll see. We're confident but despite all the theories the most important things will be the 180 minutes on the pitch."

Neymar, who also starts, added: "The club has grown, we are now among the top four, five or six teams across the leagues.

"PSG now get the respect they deserve. We have all the qualities to put hour hands on the trophy."

PSG starting XI: Navas, Florenzi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Bakker, Paredes, Gueye, Di Maria, Verratti, Neymar, Mbappe

PSG subs: Rico, Kehrer, Icardi, Rafinha, Danilo, Kean, Sarabia, Kurzawa, Herrera, Diallo, Draxler, Dagba
