Rangers 'like' Bojan Miovski transfer option but fear Aberdeen would hold them to ransom

Bojan Miovski is a player Rangers 'like' as they look to add firepower to their squad, but they fear difficulties in dealing with Aberdeen.

Philippe Clement has already started the process of bolstering his squad for the season ahead with the signings of no fewer than five players to date - Jefte, Oscar Cortes, Clinton Nsiala, Connor Barron and Liam Kelly. Many more are expected and Morrocan attacker Hamza Igamane should become their next addition imminently.

That will be far from the last deal done by the Belgian though and supporters can expect several more comings and goings. One of the more crucial areas is at centre forward with Cyriel Dessers carrying too much of a burden last season. He will need support and there is even the chance he will need replaced with reports suggesting Greek side PAOK are in for the Nigerian frontman.

Two players in the domestic game that have often been mentioned are Miovski of the Dons and Hearts' Lawrence Shankland. The Daily Mail has now addressed any potential interest in the duo.

The report claims that the Macedonian, 25, is a player liked by the Ibrox club but they fear being "held to ransom" by Pittodrie chiefs due to the long-standing rivalry between the sides.

As for Shankland, the 28-year-old is out of contract next summer but it's believed the Jambos would still want around £5million to sell this summer. The report states Gers simply aren't willing to splash that on a player who will be available for nothing in a year.
