Kenny McLean's agent has laughed off rumours that the midfielder's wage demands have kiboshed a potential move to Rangers.

The Norwich City star, 32, has been heavily linked with a dream switch to his boyhood heroes this summer. The Scotland international - who recently returned from Euro 2024 - has never hidden his desire to play for the team he supports and it's said that he features high on a list of targets for Philippe Clement.

However, reports yesterday suggested that McLean wouldn't be joining the Ibrox club after failing to reach an agreement over a contract structure. And the speculation left the ex-Aberdeen and St Mirren star's representative in hysterics, as he reposted the story on X with six laughing emojis.

It's likely that McLean would jump at the chance to pull on the royal blue jersey as he enters the twilight years of his career, but it remains to be seen whether the Canaries would be willing to part ways with one of their most important figures.

One player who will be paraded as a Rangers player in the coming days is Morocco Under-23s starlet Hamza Igamane. The striker has been given the all-clear to seal his £2million move from AS Far Rabat and issued an emotional farewell to the club earlier this week. Igamane has already thrashed out personal terms with the Light Blues and is expected to be confirmed as Clement's sixth summer capture shortly after he was granted a work permit.

In terms of outgoings, it appears Todd Cantwell's days in Govan are numbered as his agent attempts to find him a new club. Football Scotland told yesterday how former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique attempted to drum up interest in the midfielder by reaching out to Lecce coach Luca Gotti - only to send his message to a fan page on Instagram in a bizarre mix-up.

But it's believed Gers are willing to offload the playmaker this summer, with a potential life-changing switch to Saudi Arabia an option. It's said that newly-promoted Pro League side Al-Qadsiah are keeping tabs on Cantwell's situation and could step up their interest over the coming weeks.

Captain James Tavernier is attracting interest from former boss Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq while vereran defender Connor Goldson is a target for League One Birmingham City. Ianis Hagi's Euro 2024 showings could put him in the shop window and Cyriel Dessers is attracting interest across Europe. Sam Lammers is expected to return to the Netherlands after an impressive loan stint at FC Utrecht.
