Reading defender Tyler Bindon appeared in every match of New Zealand's successful OFC Nations Cup title defence.

The 19-year-old central defender enjoyed a breakout campaign for the first-team last year, making over 50 appearances for the Royals and finishing as runner-up in the Player of the Season voting.

Already a regular for his country, New Zealand went into the 2024 OFC Nations Cup as reigning champions, having lifted the title on five previous occasions.

Cruising past Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tahiti to set up a final with co-hosts Vanuatu, the All Whites won 3-0 on Sunday to successfully defend their title.

Bindon was substituted off after 88 minutes of the final, receiving a yellow card 10 minutes earlier.

Max Mata, the scorer of the third goal in the final, and goalkeeper Max Crocombe, are two other New Zealand stars who play in League One.

Mata and Crocombe represent Shrewsbury Town and Burton Albion respectively.
